Minimum Requirements
If your PC does not meet the minimum requirements for Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide, this can result in an unstable experience. Please ensure your PC meets the minimum requirements listed below:
- OS: Windows 7 64-bit, Windows 8/8.1 64-bit, Windows 10 64-bit*
- Processor: Intel Core2 Quad Q9500 @ 2.83GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 940
- Memory: 6 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD 5770 /w 1GB VRAM
- DirectX: Version 11
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Storage: 30 GB available space
- Additional Notes: *WARNING: 32-bit OS is NOT officially supported at this time

Verify Integrity of Game Files
The 'Verify Integrity of Game Files' option is accessible via the Steam client and will ensure the installation is complete. An incomplete installation is likely to produce crashes, a loss of performance or other issues.
- Right-click Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide in your Steam library sidebar
- Select 'Properties'
- Select the 'Local Files' tab
- Select the 'Verify Integrity of Game Files' button
- When complete, close and reopen Steam
Reinstall the Visual C++ 2012 Redistributables
Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide relies on the Visual C++ 2012 Redistributables, and a broken installation may result in an unstable experience.
Please uninstall the existing version of the Visual C++ 2012 Redistributables, reboot your PC and reinstall from the Microsoft website: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=30679
If an error is displayed claiming the redistributables cannot be installed as a newer version is already installed on the PC, please reinstall the Visual C++ 2017 Redistributables instead.
Disable Background Applications
Background applications - commonly overlays or hooks such as RivaTuner, ShadowPlay, Fraps, ReShade and AMD Chill - can interfere with the workings of Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide.
A Selective Startup can help identify whether a background application is the cause of your crashes:
- Press the Windows key
- Type 'msconfig' and select 'System Configuration'
- On the 'General' tab, select 'Selective Startup'
- Deselect 'Load startup Items'
- Reboot your PC
If the crashes no longer occur after having performed the Selective Startup, try re-introducing your programs one-by-one to determine which is causing your crashes.
Reinstall Your GPU Drivers
Broken or outdated GPU drivers may cause Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide to crash. When updating your drivers, please perform a clean installation which will ensure all previous versions have been removed. This is particularly important if the GPU has been changed at any point.

Check Your RAM
Occasionally, crashes occur as a result of problematic RAM (Random-Access Memory) components. We recommend running the Windows Memory Diagnostic and any other relevant utilities to identify memory-related issues.
Run the Windows System File Checker
The Windows System File Checker will repair any Microsoft DLLs on your PC that may be preventing Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide from playing correctly.

Disable Your Overclocks
Unstable overclocks can result in Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide crashing or becoming unresponsive. If any of your components are overclocked, we recommend reverting the component to it's original clock.
Check for Overheating
Whilst overheating components will usually crash the entire PC, occasionally it may present as a loss of performance or crashes-to-desktop.
